Terms and Conditions
Centre for Plant Tissue Culture & Biotechnology (CPTCB)
Nature of the Organization
Centre for Plant Tissue Culture & Biotechnology (CPTCB) is an independent organization engaged in educational, training, and research-oriented activities. All services provided are intended solely for academic, scientific, and study purposes.
Compliance with Institutional Protocols
All laboratory training and research activities shall be conducted strictly in accordance with the protocols, guidelines, rules, and standard operating procedures prescribed by CPTCB. Compliance with these terms is mandatory for all students, trainees, and researchers.
Laboratory Working Hours
Laboratory operations are permitted only between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The laboratory shall remain closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and officially declared holidays. No access shall be granted outside these working hours under any circumstances unless explicitly authorized in writing by the management.
Authorization and Permission
No student or researcher shall be permitted to commence training, dissertation work, or research activities without prior written permission from their mentor, supervisor, or head of the concerned institution, as applicable. CPTCB reserves the right to verify such authorization.
Supervision and Access Control
Entry into laboratory premises and participation in experimental work shall be allowed only under approved supervision. Unauthorized access to laboratory areas, equipment, materials, or data is strictly prohibited.
Sample Testing and Third-Party Collaboration
A substantial portion of sample testing and analytical work may be conducted through third-party laboratories or consultancy-based collaborative research organizations associated with CPTCB. The selection of such facilities shall be at the sole discretion of CPTCB, based on research requirements and technical feasibility.
Adherence to Laboratory Guidelines
All students and researchers must strictly adhere to laboratory safety rules, ethical research practices, biosafety guidelines, and handling protocols for chemicals, biological materials, and equipment. Any deviation from prescribed procedures may result in immediate termination of laboratory access.
Conduct and Discipline
Professional conduct, discipline, and respect for laboratory staff, fellow researchers, and institutional property are mandatory. Any act of misconduct, negligence, or violation of laboratory norms shall attract disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of association with CPTCB.
Liability and Responsibility
CPTCB shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or incident arising from non-compliance with laboratory rules, improper handling of materials, or unauthorized activities by students or researchers.
Right to Amend
CPTCB reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of laboratory facilities shall be deemed acceptance of the revised terms.
